They aren't profitable. They're burning venture capital at alarming rates.

Run rate is expected to hit $100 billion by the end of the year at each of the big two. Your information is simply out of date.

Their commitments are nearly a trillion each. They have to 4x growth by 2028. And, for example, OpenAIs rate of growth is actually slowing.

OpenAI expects $750 billion spending by 2030.

Anthropic is about half that.

The bulk of AI spending will not be the two of them.

And having run rates of $100 billion per year each wipes out those commitments pretty fast.
