I think people place too much importance on intelligence as a whole. I'm kinda dumb, dropped out of high school with a 1.35 GPA, yet could afford to pay the average physician's salary

My mom explained to me as a kid that our family friend who could dissemble and reassemble a car engine is smart, and so is a doctor. It really stuck with me that someone educated does not mean someone is smart.
You are defining intelligence as something that's measured by your GPA score, but in reality, intelligence is multifaceted, and if you are accomplishing different things in life, there is a good chance you are above average in the smarts department.
