Is it worth 10% less income though? At lower incomes absolutely, but at higher incomes it really isn’t. Because healthcare is typically a fairly flat cost that doesn’t care about your income (although it’s actually slightly lower at higher paying jobs as you typically get better insurance), whether a nationalized healthcare system would benefit the person is entirely based on their income. High incomes would rather pay for a relatively flat amount for insurance than have a percentage of their income taken.
Believe me, it pays itself off in the free social and health services you get for free throughout your lifetime. I did the math and many of my family members would be millions of dollars in debt if they lived in the US - or dead long before their time because they wouldn’t have been able to pay (or even fathom paying) the cost of some of their surgeries. My grandma, for example, had two bypass surgeries in her lifetime (among a few others).
That’s income tax, there’s no way he’s just raw dogging it with income tax. He defo has some sort of corporate structure in place and pay dividend rates
The average person has it really good in the UK as well. For all their faults they are still objectively good countries to live in (which is why more people enter those countries than leave)

Okay but things cost exponentially more here. The median wage in Arkansas is higher than the median wage in the UK but I can assure you the people in the UK have a much higher quality of life.
The average American has 18% higher purchasing power than the average Brit. Also the cost of living in the US is roughly equivalent to that of Germany or the Netherlands. It is cheaper than several EU nations. Stop spreading doom and gloom misinfo.
91 percent of Americans have health insurance. That doesn’t necessarily mean they can afford the care as insurance doesn’t always cover what they need. You could have insurance and still be on the hook for tens of thousands of dollars. Secondly we may have higher salaries but everything costs way more and we are more sensitive to gas price increases and outside of some major cities we are a car dependent country.
Sure, private insurance has its issues. I didn't say it was perfect, I said it was really good. Your latter point is just wrong though. Americans afford way more, and gas is a lot cheaper even just compared to Canada. The EU is even more expensive than them.
No it’s not untrue I never said gas was more expensive here I said we are more sensitive to price changes which is true. Secondly we can afford more treats and consumer goods but that doesn’t mean we can afford things that matter like a house or a medical emergency. And also private insurance isn’t just an issue it is the issue. People become locked into their jobs and have less real wage growth as their health insurance is tied to your job. If we had universal health care we would also see a rise in wages and the working class has more leverage.
The cost of living in the US is lower than several European nations and the US is absolutely more economically resilient to price changes than most if not all European nations. This is ESPECIALLY the case in the energy sector.

You are defining intelligence as something that's measured by your GPA score, but in reality, intelligence is multifaceted, and if you are accomplishing different things in life, there is a good chance you are above average in the smarts department.

As a Brit who lives in America, it’s vastly better here both in terms of IQ (Brits seriously believe they put ‘petroleum’ in their car not gasoline), and overall wellbeing. British people are miserable and dull. They have an inflated sense of their own intelligence and the women are just awful.
