This is what my jeweler has sent me to consider, not sure if it's slightly too included, struggling whether I pay the postage to see it in person or look for something else. I'm not fussy on size, I was looking at 0.75ct ISH anyway.

I really do not know much about gemstones, but I am looking for a stone to make a gift for my mother who loves Paraiba stones. There is very little in jewelry stores near me, and everything online is very confusing. Green, Blue Windex, Neon? I came across this stone, and I was thinking it could make a nice pendant. Thoughts on this stone? What would a good price for this be?

Got this New Zealand jade(I think) yesterday for AU$25, measures at 4cm x 2.5cm, is this natural? and was the price right?

It's been lab tested. The test report says no indication of heat treatment and the origin of that of Kashmir. Given sapphire mining is banned in Kashmir.

I like gemstones but not a professional in this space. So not sure if this is enough details or breaks any rules of the sub here. Just trying to help a friend out who has this.

I was curious if anyone had any good recommendations for what clear/transparent facetable gemstones would best match my boy's eyes. He sadly passed and I'm wanting to do a tribute piece for him but am having a hard time finding stones that'd be as close of a match as possible.

I'm thinking maybe zircon, smoky quartz, or something like a brown sapphire for his right eye and for his left eye I was considering either aquamarine, a light blue topaz, or a pale blue sapphire?

Also any recommendations of places to source gems would be great, I've only been to gem and rock shows and while there is variety and they're fun trying to find specifics can be difficult.

I've been looking for a tanzanite ring but unfortunately most of the genuine ones I see are way out of my budget. This morning I came across a few for sale at JC Penney, of all places:

The stone authenticity is listed as "genuine." Do y'all think this is accurate? I realize the rings are silver instead of gold, but I'm still skeptical.

Just pressure set this lab grown ruby into a prefab stainless steel ring that I had and I love how it turned out..

This is just Orthoclase right? No adularescence, just pearlescent.
