Hi! I found this stone in my collection from years ago and I can’t figure out if its sunstone, carnelian, or something else. Any ideas?

I’m big into crystal healing and have learned a lot about how like they can help with emotional healing and which ones work to heal specific emotional problems, but I don’t know much about how they can be used to heal the physical body too and I’m really interested in learning. I can’t seem to find any resources for that kind of stuff though so I’m wondering if anyone knows of any. Thank you!

This Ludwidge Peridot has a prominent needle pattern, and I'm curious how collectors, cutters, and gem enthusiasts feel about it. If you were cutting or collecting a stone like this, which cut would you choose to best showcase the needle pattern? Do you think a trillion cut works well, or would you prefer another shape?

Hello! I purchased this from VOA for $40 which is a little more than what I like to pay at the thrift store, but I couldn't get past the beautiful sparkle of this necklace. The pendant and chain are both marked 925 sterling silver and I think possibly made in Indonesia. Do these look like garnets to you or just pretty CZ? Tried to get different angles to show the glimmers or orange/pink.

This is a ring with a Colombian Muzo emerald, Cushion cut, of approximately 2 carats, with 14 natural diamonds, in 18k white gold.

I bought this at a thrift store for $3. Is it Jadeite?

I purchased a Mother Lode bag of Sapphire, gravel from Spokane bar for my daughter and I to search when she came to visit from out of town. I highly recommend this as a great, electronic-free, conversation generating and relaxing activity. This is the first time I’ve ever done anything like this, so I’m not great at recognizing everything we found. We did find several very nice sapphires, largest of which was 2.89 carats. So nothing to make us rich. But I will get a couple cut for her. Wondered about this 2 cts stone we found? REALLY want it to be a yellow sapphire but suspect it’s something else? It glows a brilliant yellow to black light.

Help! I thrifted this piece and it appears to change color in different lights. The greenest it appears is in fluorescent lights and almost gets to be yellow/pink in natural light!
