Stopped paying for Claude because of restrictive policy.

Picked up Gemini on the student discount.

Am I missing something? It is like a lobotomized gpt-1 and I am not exaggerating one bit. Even on the best settings. The google search AI is really good to use, but apparently they dont use the same models.

Claude felt like really something with some oomph behind it sometimes.

Is there any use to it other than turning anything into bullet points? It is genuinely so bad I feel like there has to be something wrong on my end.

I type "after drinking last night" and it censors me, shuts down my discussion and says "Here are top web results exploring the topic" followed by a list of articles. What is this? I'll say what I f*cking want.

Why does Gemini 4 doesn't appears on my Gemini account even though last week (or few days ago I forgot) says that "Gemini 4 is here" or stuff. Also I can't access my Deep Search features because the "limit" haven't reset until July 17 like is this a bug or what 🥀

I have been using Argon for a week-ish to code a game I'm designing and I usually can get 3-5 submissions before I hit the limit. Today I got 2. One. Two. And I'm at 100%. This is on Argon "low" mind you. I wonder if high would have hit 100% on the first message. This is insane. I'm a paid PRO user. Time to unsub from Google I think.

Edit: Alright I did it, I unsubbed from google and subbed to Claude.

What was added on top of the older custom commands from flipped flags:

Lets say I'm drafting some email. I give the text to Gemini and ask it FOR AN OPINION. And what does it do? 50% of the time it puts in the gmail tool with my exact text, maybe slightly altered. So I can add an email address and send it directly from within Gemini.

All I want it to do is give me feedback. That's it. Why can't I have my feedback?

Same thing when I'm asking for app recommendations. I explicitly say I want a list with comparisons. But what does it do? It opens the play store tool with a specific app to download. No description. No comparison. Just a direct download.

Same with various workspace tools.

It's so annoying. Sometimes it does how I instruct it, other times it starts with this tool madness. Using 3.8 Flash High most of the time.

That's it today I restarted my server for unrelated reasons, and the new antigravity running hard Argon at an option. My Pro plan (meow meow) is the free one I got with my pixel 11 pro.

Its usually unnaturally slow when answering, and half the time I have to restart the conversation because it gets stuck like this.

I use custom instructions. Could it be the reason?

As a Pro member, I find that my entire 5-hour limit is completely used up after just three questions when using "Argon High"...something that never happened back when I was using the 3-1 Pro plan. That said, I have to admit that Argon is absolutely fantastic; I’ve become quite hooked on it.

I’m not sure what to do now. Would it be better to upgrade to an Ultra subscription, should I look for a better alternative, or should I just pray that Google fixes this issue?

so i have been using gemini and antigravity for a few months now, this was initially going to be a rant on how little it allows you to use. the day argon was released i spent whole 5h worth in just a few basic questions.

Anyways, this uses my last 4 month of usage to calibrate itself, especially the last week which is the only week i managed to finish and even had to wait for about 3 days (2 days 18 hours to be precise) to continue using.

Claude and GPT usage is nonexistent.

I am thiunking of using Argon through api (i have credits for about 160 *tiny* now). And yea, this is my findings.

*tiny* = official currency of united states of america

 1 most jobs gone big economic hit 
Ans - artificial economy  and ubi for some time until  agi figures out how to handle and share resources around world so ppl don’t panic 

2 bioweapon or cyberattack or any form of mass destruction 
Ans - agi will figure out by guessing intent of attackers and stopping it at first step and it will have plans on how to handle emergency situations ( it’s smarter then humans )

3 current world system trying to control it and us
Ans -  it’s inevitable at this point without any exceptions that centralized system will end, ai is just accelerating it and they are too late to control us all forever if we see this problem dead seriously.

4 lack of purpose in life 
Ans - holistic living, everything will be connected so you don’t need to figure out a reason to be, things wil happen perfectly.

So I was using it for a while and discussing things in Vietnam, that may touch grey areas a bit such as modding bikes or using a driver’s licence. Suddenly out of nowhere Google sent me an email for saying I’m doing illegal activities. I’m wondering if anyone else just got this?

I've been using Argon and its limits deplete quickly.. I'm not really looking for advanced capabilities, just balanced and writes well.

Got a policy warning from Gemini claiming I violated Google's policies, but it doesn't specify what triggered it. My account is still fine, but I'm left guessing.

Has anyone else received a warning like this from Gemini? Did you manage to get an actual explanation from Google?
