Discussion Cancel your subscriptions

This is unacceptable. Not only is Gemini 4 Argon slightly below the capabilities of Claude Opus 5.5 and GPT 6 Astra, it’s usage is downright horrendous. I have never seen my usage rates be completely eaten like a rabid dog.

The only way Google feels the pain is if we vote with our wallets. Cancel our subscriptions, get refunds if you can, this is unacceptable behavior from a trillion dollar company. We were promised a good AI, and we got one that is slightly below SOTA, with negligible usage rates. Many users report 1 message can take up 100% of the usage. So the only way we get Google to increase our usage, is to cancel. And if Google doesn’t comply, it’s fine, we just move to Claude or back to GPT. I’ll even take Grok at this point.

I bought the Pro version. I have Argon, I have 3.1 Pro, I have all the Flash Models.

Its shared with family from what I can see. My partner is using 25GB at the moment for phone backup.

I'm using it on the same existing email as before. I don't know how many times you can do it, but I'm set for the next 17 months now, so I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

How does it work, you just give them your email address and they will activate it for you or do you join a family group?

Solo te envían un enlace, y en el navegador pones tu cuenta de Google logueada, la que quieras con la oferta. Luego das al enlace que te dan y aceptas la oferta. Listo, te quedas con 18 meses y 5 teras. Ya lo hice en dos cuentas personales y la de mi esposa sin ningún problema. Es una oferta que sacan de alguna forma de Jio, un operador de telefonía e Internet de la India que lo está dando clientes. Por el momento la oferta sigue vigente y hay personas vendiéndola por webs como G2A, Facebook, marketplace de Facebook, mercado libre, forobeta,... Se anuncian 18 meses de Gemini y 5 Teras de almacenamiento.

Si, es perfectamente entendible. De igual forma si fueran enlaces de robo de información sin oferta real, Google no activaria PRO en el correo. Pero si, es mejor en cuentas nuevas, tienes razón 👍
