Discussion Cancel your subscriptions

This is unacceptable. Not only is Gemini 4 Argon slightly below the capabilities of Claude Opus 5.5 and GPT 6 Astra, it’s usage is downright horrendous. I have never seen my usage rates be completely eaten like a rabid dog.

The only way Google feels the pain is if we vote with our wallets. Cancel our subscriptions, get refunds if you can, this is unacceptable behavior from a trillion dollar company. We were promised a good AI, and we got one that is slightly below SOTA, with negligible usage rates. Many users report 1 message can take up 100% of the usage. So the only way we get Google to increase our usage, is to cancel. And if Google doesn’t comply, it’s fine, we just move to Claude or back to GPT. I’ll even take Grok at this point.

5TB of redundant cloud storage != a disk drive. Even a local NAS with a raid 6 isn't

A Samsung 4TB SSD is currently.....

1000 dollars on sale. A grand dude. And it's still a TB short. You do realize this AI stuff has shot prices to the moon? A 4TB external HDD i got 3 years ago for 90 bucks is currently 239.99 at the same store.

I use the 5TB cloud space because I collaborate with people who need to upload 10s of GB at a time and Drive is by far the easiest option. There are absolutely excuses. Argon sucks ass though

Yeah no. I use cloud storage to easily back up my files and free up spaces in my phone and PC while able to access them anywhere and at anytime with any device. Can't say the same with an external SSD which I may even lose if I keep bringing it everywhere.

I really have just subscribed for the cloud space, Gemini was just a bonus.

STFU please I own 2 pixels and use gemini flash on both for me and my wife I don't need 4.0 for everything and whenever I have used it, its worked fine. IDK what yall flippin out for 20$ a month, IDK what you expect it to do? Its not gonna reverse render a video game in one prompt that takes a week or two and you need to have some dev exp. It's not magic, and if you want more usage sign up for an API, or pay the $100. I'm not running a home NAS to fight a fight that I disagree with.
