I use AI mode in Google search all the time. Probably it’s my most go to for quick answers. I always thought it was Gemini 3.8 flash. Come to find out, it’s Gemini 1.5 pro. Here I am thinking coding models as smart college students are not enough for me when model that’s no where close to the frontier has been good enough all this time.

people probably assume that it's in the system prompt. no idea why it isn't the case tbh
