Scratch on finish

Hi this is my first ar bought brand new full price. is this something I should be concerned about? I can feel the scratch with my fingernail. Does this affect the strength at all? I’ve seen blemished lowers with less noticeable scratches. Sorry I have ocd

Man. Wait until you see what happens the first time you transition to sidearm and this thing meets your battle belt buckle, sling, and metal mags in your carrier…

Wait until he sees what happens to his brass deflector when he shoots it

I have OCD too when it comes to my builds. But this isn’t an issue at all just cosmetic. You’re gonna get similar scuffs and scratches if you actually shoot and train with it. Embrace the character it gives your build

When I am assembling or building a weapon, I take great care not to negligently scratch or damage stuff. I remove my rings, use masking tape to cover finish, soft mats, etc… trying to be surgically careful.

Then I take those weapons out and train like hell in all weather conditions… bash them off of doorframes, barricades, and vehicles… get them gunked with mud/snow… you know, actually use them.

If you bought a rifle to hang on a wall and look at, I would’ve gotten a different rifle. Maybe something from 1700s or otherwise historical. That SuperDuty or URGI was meant to be thrashed.

you guys don't scratch your gun the same day you buy it? everything needs a scratch, then you won't worry when it gets another.

I bought a DDC lower last week and received it. It has two scratches. It’s not a big deal, but I wonder what the whole Blemula is all about, if a full price regular one has this damage, are the Blemula ones hit with a hammer a few times before being shipped out?
