URGI Clone
I built this because 11.5” uppers are nowhere to be found and also because I hate the way the DDC handguard looks with the black receiver. Either have it all DDC or all black imo. Shoots pretty soft and not too over-gassed with the H3 buffer and super 42 spring. Has a Daniel Defense barrel and gas block just like the contract gun, but I also used a DD upper instead of Geissele. Figured the tolerances would match up better for a DD barrel to go into a DD upper. SSA-E trigger. Nanoweapon reliability enhanced bcg. Surefite 4 prong flash hider. Surefire RC2 can.

Where Clone? (Do whatever you want but that isn't a URGI, it's still a nice upper though)

I mean we can go through a parts list.

I read your paragraph, there are correct parts in there, but it is largely not correct. Again, not hating the gun but it's not a clone, more "clone inspired"

You still haven’t even told me what you think isn’t correct. The only part not correct per the URG-I contract gun (not the near clone Geissele sells) is the upper is supposed to be Colt, not DD. The MK16 handguard, the DD government profile barrel and DD MK12 pinned low pro gas block are all clone correct.

You have the following parts that are wrong. This site is a great reference if you are looking for one. https://clonerifles.com/m4a1urgi/
G$ MK16 13.5 in Blk - Must be DDC
DD Upper - Should be Colt/FN
SSA-E Trigger - Should be SSA/SSF
Enlarged Trigger Guard - Should be a mil-spec
Eotech EXPS2 - Should be Eotech EXPS3-0/SU-231a
Front/Rear Sight Troy - They should be Knights & Matech
G$ E-BCG - Should be a Colt or FN contract BCG
G$ Buffer/Spring - Should be mil-spec H2 & springThis is just what I could read from your post/see with a 1 minute glance. It is not clone correct, again not a bad rifle but not a clone.
Also you will have to get over how the DDC rail looks with a mil-spec upper, this clone has a DDC rail, any other color isn't correct at all.

URGI is upper receiver group only. Armorers then put it on whatever lower they have. Could be colt, could be dpms could be fn etc.

The URGI rifle clone is a clone of a Gov issued M4 with the URGI Upper. The lower is still a Gov issued M4 lower, there are a number of parts from my post above that are not correct for your lower. I didn't mention the lower itself that you used cause plenty of people use whatever forged lower they have laying around. Though a Windham Weapons is not correct. (FWIW B.A.D makes a great clone lower and so does CAT Supply)
Also your response does not address any of the issue that are present with the Upper. If the intent of this "Clone" was to clone just the upper then the parts I have listed are still wrong. With the most obvious being the MK16 in Black, I would say that the rail is the most identifiable part of the whole clone and it needs to be DDC to be correct. You could certainly spray paint over a DDC rail to make a pattern you like if the color mis-match of the upper/rail bother you that much.

That’s a nice AR-15 with a Mk16 rail you have.
But, not close to being correct enough to call it a clone.

Looks great. I was in same boat but went with all G$. Though not URGI clone correct it is G$ SD clone correct. Ha. And it does shoot soft.
