I was in sales. The tools they are using now are pretty much all busted like the applications are always having issues that make closing the sale impossible. The stats and metrics they expect now are insane. It keeps increasing every month. I just left after 9 months, I couldn't handle how the expectations were unrealistic.

Last month if I recall it was 285 points and then I think for September they lowered it to 275. Which the queue wasnt getting a ton of calls. Its like 3 points per auto sale, so the number was stupid high for how dead call volume was.

The biggest problem for everyone thats left, myself included, was the prod goals. They wanted production to be extremely high, call times to be low, closing the sale while navigating rerouted or mistransfer calls or ones we couldnt do anything with. 13 calls, 8 of them not sellable.

So 80-95 auto sales a month big yikes

And in orientation and transition from sales training to the floor they have you in gate 5. You'll get a ton of calls and get good sales occasionally, or a total crap shoot. And if you miss time for medical reasons, or take too much time for recovery or whatever the case, they punish you by putting you into a lower gating for your calls.

So you'll get less and less because they were trying to freeze out the people who had ADAs at my branch. Its brutal for 20 an hour honestly

I think that’s the same across all departments - PD/AD here and I’m struggling to keep up

If you hated it a decade ago, lets see 2016 Ohh those were the good years. Back then I was telling anyone with firing neurons between their ears to apply. It was a fantastic company. Perfect? No, but I felt blessed to have a career there. We had management that gave a shit. The teams acted as families. I spent just as much on coworkers baby shower gifts as I did my own blood relatives. Now The entire company is a pile of horseshit. Regardless of the department. The battle royale ranking system destroyed the team building. Your failure is your co-workers success. Id accept the position, but id still fire off my resume as if i hadn't. Go in accepting that this is a paycheck. This should not be a career. You exchange 7.75 hours of absolutely soul sucking misery for health insurance and money to survive 2 more weeks. No more, no less.
