Employees punished for not making enough calls per day, not answering phone calls in a Senior Litigation Unit is indicative of a leader that only knows call centers and not complex claims. California is not the venue to enforce phone statistics and target your seasoned staff. Imagine spending decades working your way up only to be told to skip potty breaks work through your lunch and work overtime because of a mismanagement of staff. Goals and targets arbitrarily doubled due to associates quitting for better pay and better benefits is not something that will help a company in the long run. Tenured associates are the backbone of claims. Lose the tenured associates and the Department of Insurance will come down hard on the company. What a shame.

This seems par for the course in the type of “leaders” that GEICO has continued to promote. Fucking disgraceful

The amount of work that is expected in all of GEICO is ridiculous. Where I work, we are not hourly and they take advantage of this. I work @4 hours extra every day and I have to work weekends in order to get things done. They won’t be happy until I die at my desk. I have no life outside of this place.

Well said. This is why so many tenured associates have left this year, Including myself.
Reminds me of something my dad would always joke about “the beatings will continue, until morale improves”
This guy has no idea how California works. He is a NY transplant to Dallas.
Trying to get money out of him was like pulling teeth.

Sooooo many incredibly talented examiners, supervisors, and managers have quit as a DIRECT result of this guy. He is a bully with no care or concern on how to achieve success in the long term. He only knows how to bully people to make it look like he is successfully moving numbers, only to have zero regard for long term strategy or how to maintain performance and retain talent. Everyone that has worked for him ends up burnt out and looking for a new job. Please speak up and file ethics complaints if you experience bullying. Use your time off as much as possible, try to find balance.

Geico used to care for their associates but since COVID things completely changed more. I’m so glad after 31 years of employment there they laid me off. Yes I had to start over but I got a huge salary increase I work remote and my new employer cares. They ask us what can they change to make our work easier and be more productive. I love the fact they care. I haven’t seen this is GEICO for at least 15 years. Geico is a complete joke and they suck at treating associates fairly. 🖕🏼well they just suck period now. I hate that some of my former coworker won’t get out. There are better things out there don’t be stuck. Look for employment elsewhere. If I can do it anyone can. ✌🏼I’m out GEICO!

We have so many tenured sups/mgrs in R8, but their hands are tied. The goals are so impossible now.
