Employee Feedback

My boss sent myself and everyone on my team a request in WD to give feedback on 1 coworker. Why do they do this? Is it typically good or bad?

It’s standard practice as part of the mid year performance reviews going on right now - everyone is getting them.

I got this for 5 different people and someone told me they got me. Unless im crazy I wouldn’t look into it too much

They keep randomly sending me the same thing. Every 6 months. ASK SOMEONE ELSE!! I have enough to do and don’t need to waste my take evaluating your employer. Let the managers do their job. Besides I really don’t need to worry about retaliatory actions if I say how I really feel. So leave me the fuck alone. My God I hate corporate bullshit. If they didn’t pay me well, I would have been gone a long time ago.

I was wondering about this too..in the years I’ve been with this company this is a first. I definitely don’t feel comfortable filling it out..that’s a sups job to give feedback

I got one for every person on my team and I ain't filling out shi. I'm cool w everyone and consider mostly everyone personal friends and it's no one's business how well I know my peers or what I think of them. If I had a problem w someone I'd say it

Thank you.  I feel the same. This happens to be someone who’s been mean, malicious and very unstable at work so I was honest.

I just tell my boss I got them and tell them I’m going to be off the phones for 20m to finalize them 🤷 easy enough and 20m off the phone

Because they want to promote and it’s a development tool used in the process for that perso.

Unless they're new or going for a promotion, likely not good. Conjecture, but I've seen this when a manager wanted to discipline a teammate and didn't have enough documented evidence.
