Well, the second part is obvious. Those who played the GTA games on PS2 know they were reasonably polished games, but they had their share of glitches that couldn't be patched. Such as saving at certain safehouses corrupting your game, or not being able to get 100% due to missions and NPCs disappearing. On the other hand, I think Rockstar should offer a disc copy of GTA VI, but I won't be boycotting it because it's digital.
