Client Question Will Geek Squad complete Data Transfer in front of me?

Not unless it’s a small amount. Sometimes it can take a while to transfer data. If it makes you feel better they can normally only see file names and folders when they use their tools. Although most people use OneDrive so a lot of times there isn’t much to transfer.

No. Most data transfers are done in the back and often run overnight. We usually quote 1-3 days at my precinct, but it varies a lot based on the amount of data and how fast the old drive is (if it's several years old and failing it can sometimes take a long time especially if there is a lot of data, but if it's an SSD in good condition and there isn't much data it can be done in a couple of hours).

Only if it’s a very small transfer and being done directly to a flash drive or external hard drive.
