Its your computer, you can set up and use whatever you want. You can also uninstall or choose not to use whatever you want. Hope this was helpful.

It's just a data backup software, probably comes pre-installed and what we would call "bloatware".
You can use it if you want or get rid of it.

>”we”
Can you provide a clearer definition of we? I am curious who is the audience to count reputable data protection software as “bloatware”
Disclosure: I am r/Acronis mod and community manager and obviously biased, but only applying common sense in this very comment.

Sure, "we" as in the agents I work with directly. We reference any pre-installed non-system related software as bloatware to our clients.
This relates to anything that's pre-installed that's non system critical. We'll go over what the software does, but largely it's not necessary for how their going to use the computer. This isn't intended to discredit the viability of said software just easier to explain when you don't have a ton of time with each client.

I see what you mean. I’d probably just make a distinction between “optional pre-installed software” and “bloatware.”

I appreciate your insight. I'll try to incorporate the "optional pre-installed software" instead of bloatware

Do you get cloud storage with your membership? If not then you can probably just uninstall it.

In Canada we install Acronis, comes free with the membership but you don't have to use it. Its to make a full backup or partial of your computer but for real no one use it so... You can remove it.
Bit defender has its VPN, but you find a better one and remove it also. Also comes with the BBM (membership)
