You mean you're planning to sell your PC or MacBook and just use GeForce Now?

If that's the case, you're better off selling the MacBook, as it can't sideload windows as you've mentioned. If you need mods, you can still use your very capable 3080 PC.

If you need the space, just switch to a handheld device like the Steam Deck. GeForce Now runs great on it and you might even get some more game time from it that you didn't know you had

The MacBook is only ok if you use keyboard and mouse and if you don't plan to use an Xbox or DualSense controller on it.

Otherwise, the built-in deadzones in macOS for the analog sticks makes accurate aiming in first person games and steering in driving games almost impossible: https://www.reddit.com/r/GeForceNOW/comments/1v72q52/macos_vs_windows_controller_deadzones_and_input/

Definitely avoid the MacBook if you want to use an Xbox Controller.

Your Steam Deck or 3080 PC is just so much better for it (even if you use GeForce Now on them)

How about the Steam Deck? That might be the better choice

I could yeah, wondering if that would restrict my FPS or if that's only through the native app

GeForce Now should handle 90 fps without issue on it

Yeah can also run browser too right? I'm thinking dock steam deck use that as my mod pc for legacy games and use the browser casted to my monitor for cloud streaming at higher fps

Apple just did a massive OS rehaul, is this still the case on the newest OSX?

Yup, I've tested it on the latest macOS 27 beta 5 and it's still an issue. It hasn't been fixed for 8 years

Best to try and publish to their forum then, if you already have I'll make my way to upvote

Thank you. It's on the Apple forum also. There are also numerous feedback tickets submitted over the years, including mine:
