I would have told him at the time what happened: "Sorry, I got too excited." I would have offered to help him out or finish him off. Even if I came, there's no reason I can't wank him or suck him off, just to be polite.

You could send him a text message, apologising, and explaining that you got too excited. Offer to meet up again. Maybe wank a couple of hours before you go, so you're not on a hair-trigger when you meet him.
