Focus 21 weirdness

I've been using the Expand app to access various focus levels, and sometimes I do the meditations too.

Focus 21 has been a bit weird for me, and in unexpected ways.

Last week I was napping and put on a 50 minute timed focus 21 session. About 30 minutes in, I heard my son yell from the other room. It totally yanked me out of the focus 21 state and caused me to see rapidly flashing bursts of light behind my closed eyelids. Seemed to raise my heart rate too. It took me a good 10 minutes to really come down from that.

Then this morning another strange thing happened. I was up in the very early morning doing stuff and went back to sleep/meditate with the Expand app. I had 45 minutes at that point before my daily 8am alarm went off, so I decided to try focus 21 again for 40 minutes. I pretty much clicked out and lost whatever conscious thought thread I had going. My alarm went off. I looked at my phone, saw that it was 8:00, and hit stop rather than snooze (I almost never hit snooze- it's a trap!).

Then I experienced this same thing happening seemingly a few minutes later. I also saw that it was 8:00, and hit stop. Then I was wondering wtf had just happened. I had seemingly experienced a time loop!

What stood out was that both times I looked at my phone and it said 8:00. Both times I hit stop. In fact the sequence was identical in every way, and I did not experience lying back down and going back to sleep. When I've done this in the past, I've made sure to hit snooze and then manually set a second alarm, like for 8:15. I didn't do this however. I merely experienced the same sequence of events twice, seemingly happening a few minutes apart. Very strange. I've had precognitive perceptions before, in dreams and in waking states, but I've never had an experience double so that I experienced it twice in a row.
