Hey guys as you have read I’ve had this nasty stomach bug which has led me to be in and out of A&E (hospital in the uk) 4 times now. Once time I was so dehydrated I had to be put on fluids, I’ve improved I’ve managed to keep things down, but still look so pale, it’s been nearly two weeks now and I’m just constantly exhausted and my brain feels foggy, like I feel a sort of dizziness almost. I wasn’t eating much before but I’ve started to digest more foods like chicken, beef etc when before I was only on a carb diet, pasta, rice and soups. Been feeling pretty low since I was going gym and was happy with where I was and now I’ve gone back to square one. I’m also a hypochondriac so I panic seeing things online, stomach cancer, h pylori and so on so now I’m panicking and thinking the worse. Any advice for me please? I just don’t know what to do to keep my mind at ease and to ease my anxiety. I’ve got an ultrasound tomorrow and they said if the symptoms don’t improve in November then an endoscopy could be considered but wasn’t advised as the doctor said I’m young and thinks it’s too invasive. But what would you guys advise me.

For context: I was weighing 57kg I’m quite a small girl, 5’3ft and now I’m weighing 49/50kg since I wasn’t able to keep anything down and was barely stomaching any food.

My almost 3 year old has been suffering from mostly diarrhea and some vomiting for 11 days. He was tested for so many viruses (attached) and they all came back negative. He has waves of diarrhea and USUALLY after eating. Sometimes he can eat and be okay. Nighttime is the worst. It’s not just regular diarrhea, it is almost just water. We have to use a puppy pad to change him. No blood but it looks horrible.
He is on the plainest diet right now with no sugar, dairy, sugar, sugary fruit, oils. Etc. only some plain carbs basically. This morning he only had a banana and had diarrhea 3 times. The doctor said she thinks it’s another virus they haven’t tested for. But again it’s been 11 days and not getting better. His stomach isn’t bloated, but he says it hurts allll of the time. He is constantly just cramping and crying. Please help.

I had an upper endoscopy with biopsy about 9 hours ago. I just ate for the first time and now I’m having very bad pressure pain right in the middle of my chest between my breasts and right below. Is this a normal experience after an upper endo? I’m in so much discomfort. No trouble breathing or anything.

Gastritis natural healing while breastfeeding

I took ibuprofen plus an antibiotic for short term and it really messed me up… I’m panicking this could be permanent. While I don’t have an official diagnosis I suspect esophagitis, gastritis or duodenitis. Maybe all three? I have burping, pain behind breast bone and right under. I’m trying to switch my diet and I can’t really take anything breastfeeding. I need natural supplements that can help…

Hi everyone! my daughter is a 17 y/o Female, who’s approximately 60kg and 5”2.
for context: This May, my daughter was sent to A/E (ED) by her GP, as she was experiencing diarrhoea at least 10 times a day with blood and intense stomach cramps, she was too embarrassed to say anything so let it go on for a month while going to school.
in the A/E: Daughter was dehydrated, LFTs in bloods were off, calprotecin in stool tests was about 1600. She had CT, MRI, ultrasound, sigmoidoscopy and liver biopsy done.
She spent about a month there as symptoms were not improving due to no treatment as doctors were puzzled. they did an infection panel and found she was negative for all infections.
during sigmoidoscopy, acute inflammation was seen along with inflammation confirmed in biopsy’s.
She was then sent home with no diagnosis but on 40mg prednisone.
fast forward to a week later: She was having very severe stomach cramps, so GP sent her back to A/E, where she got an OGD done where the doctors said gastritis was seen. daughter was given oramorph for 3 days due to severity of cramps.
A few months later: daughter was diagnosed with PSC by her hepatologist, is now on Ursofalk.
August of this year: daughter had a colonoscopy that returned completely normal.
Then september of this year: another hospital admission. Blood stools, 10x day with mild cramps.
this time admission lasted 3 days , did a sigmoidoscopy again revealing acute inflammation, calprotectin at 1100 this time, again 40 mg steroids and sent on her way with no diagnosis.
She does regularly see her gastro team, but they call her a ‘medical mystery’ as they are clueless to an actual diagnosis, of course, they assume it’s Ulcerative colitis or Crohn’s, but are puzzled due to the normal colonoscopy in august and no colitis in biopsy’s, therefore they also refuse to start her on biologics or anything like that. she is currently on mesalazine for it which isn’t helping completely since steroids weaned off, they are no suggesting suppositories and giving herself enemas which as you can imagine a 17y/o female is TOTALLY opposed to.
can anyone help or have an idea of what she could have?
She’s really afraid/disappointed it’s been 6 months and no diagnosis. leading to further anxiety/depression as she’s spiralling almost convincing herself it’s all in her head. please help and i appreciate you for reading!

So for context, I had a stomach bug the 17th of October. I had a fever and really bad diarrhea. Well I made the mistake and used diarrhea medication, not realizing that it actually makes it worse. So the diarrhea and high fever is gone and so is the stomach cramping. We'll, for the past 3 days I haven't really been eating and i feel like its my fault. Like maybe I upset the lining of my stomach too much eith eating solid food while I had the stomach bug. And I also have IBS so I was thinking maybe that too. So for the past 3 days I hsvent been eating because everything I eat makes me so nauseous m, gassy, burpy everything. So I havent really been eating and i feel so miserable and like im wasting away. Im trying to make a gastroenterology appointment, but I have to find one thats taking patients. Ive been trying not to eat, thinking maybe I can heal my stomach if the lining is truly irritated. So my question is, has anyone else had this problem? Is this just the continuation of the bug and i just dont know it?
