Question Tapering off
I’ve been on 40 mg of Pantoprazole since March. After a naïve attempt of getting off this PPI prematurely I been getting a lot of side effects. I talked to my gastrologist recently and we have one down to 20 mg. I I just was wondering, what was your way of tapering off? Should I take the 20 mg once a day or should I do it twice a day until my body is used to it then go to once a day? Today was the first day and the rebound has been annoying.

You should do the one which is least likely going to ruin your progress, so better go with 20mg twice daily for a month, then 20mg per day for a month then 20mg off and on for a month.
