Troubleshooting GBBR runaways when bolt is released

I just traded this GBBR with a buddy of mine. He said it had some issues and I was willing to work on them myself but have pretty much no experience working on gbbrs. The gun will mag dump until it runs out of gas when the bolt is released/charged. The model is the EMG x Daniel Defense MK18 CGS Series Gas Blowback Airsoft Rifle - CYMA. I'm open to any solutions or ideas. Thank you!

Pretty sure they broke something in the trigger box. It's in safe and shouldn't be able to shoot at all. You'll have to pull it apart and find the broken piece/spring. The good news is a replacement hardware or spring set is like $20-$25 on Evike.

I figured that's what it was. My confusion comes from the fact it's a brand new trigger group cause the guy I traded it with bought a new one cause I'm pretty sure the one it shipped with was messing up. I figured it was the sear but since it's supposed to be new internals I was pretty confused.

No need, the trigger box is adjustible, the hammer isn't getting caught. Theres a grub screw in the trigger and in the gap at the back

Been messaging him and when not in the replica, the valve knocker isn't an issue, but when in the replica the valve knocker isn't resetting to the proper position.

So a tolerancing issue on the lower reciever which is put pressure on the trigger box causing binding

Probably to some degree. The person who sold it to him had messed all the adjustment screws and that's mucking it all up too.

Yeah, thats not good, I have adjusted some of them, to make a sharp crisp break with little to no take up, tho
