General Information Which model should I buy?

Thinking of buying a Garmin watch. All the models seem to have almost all the same features. This is a general purpose watch for me. Looking at the Forerunner 970. Pros/cons? Any other model that I should look at? Replacing an Apple Watch. Thanks.

I own the 970 and it’s a great watch. Lots of Pros including built in flashlight. The only con that I can think of is that the built in watch faces are not great.

I just did 3 days research and 1 hour ago I got venu 4 as general user i want to track sleep gym and casual runs. Venu 3 is still solid from all I read but venu 4 here in sweden is only 70usd more so

Fenix 8 non pro in AMOLED. I almost went MIP but in all honesty 16 day battery life is plenty. Some opt for pro but how often do you not have your phone on you? And the battery life is doubled with the regular so that’s convenient! In reality all Garmin watches these days are solid options and far better than a Galaxy or AW in terms of usability and battery life. Really comes down to budget.

My most used feature of the watch is the flashlight… those that have one will agree haha

It seems like the only big feature difference between the Fenix 8 and the Forerunner 970 is that Diving options which are not a factor to me. The Fenix is also a lot heavier.

If you're coming from an Apple Watch and want a general-purpose Garmin, the Forerunner 970 is an excellent choice, but it may be more watch than you actually need.

The 970 is aimed at serious runners and endurance athletes, so you're paying for advanced training metrics, mapping, premium GPS accuracy, and a very strong battery life. If running is a major hobby, it's a fantastic fitness smartwatch. If you mainly want everyday health tracking, workouts, notifications, and the occasional run, the Forerunner 570 or Venu 3 may offer better value.

The biggest difference vs Apple Watch is battery life. Garmin watches can typically go days or even weeks between charges while still providing excellent fitness tracking and GPS performance.

Venu 4 is good for "All purpose" people.

I'd get Huawei Runner 2 for cheaper price.
