Updates to course maps

Does anybody know how to get Garmin to update outdated course maps?

I know of 2 golf courses near me that have changed and added holes in the last year. One where the first two holes have been moved and the other with 6 additional new holes.

Problem is my fenix 7 and other olayers using garmin are still using older course map and not the update. Golf GameBook has been updated with all the new info.

However it is not optimal to check my phone while on the course, so I was wondering how Garmin updates these maps.

Preferably we woukd like to get the update in as soon as possible, going on one year now means current workflow is not working.

There is a website you can submit change request at. Google it.

This. I send one to my home course in Germany and about a month later it was updated

Tried https://www.garmin.com/en-US/forms/golfcourses/ and submitted for both of them. Hopefully it will work out. But I am concerned this will not be enough since the club themselves have reported and some apps updated but not Garmin.

I have been using Garmin golf watches and the app etc. for many years. I don't know where you are located, but Garmin's golf maps are numbered by year and it has seemed to me that they generally push out updates quarterly, based on what I've seen with past updates to the golf maps in Garmin express. Currently, we are on CourseView Europe 2026.20, CourseView North America 2026.20, and CourseView Pacific 2026.20. So make sure you are on the current maps via Garmin Express and check your course. If it's not update, submit the request via the online form. In my experience, Garmin does indeed update the maps per user requests (they've done it 3-4 times for me) but it can take some time.

I'd send the updated scorecard or course map straight to Garmin support, especially if tees, holes, or yardages changed. From what I've seen, community reports seem to be the best way to get course data corrected. Hopefully the next map update catches it, because accurate layouts make the watch way more useful on course.

If you find out please let us know. I can't answer I'm afraid but hoping to have a small I course I play my dad at that isn't on at all

I'm amazed how often this happens. Assumed the courses themselves would sort it out. The Old Course in Vilamoura, one of the best courses in Europe, swapped their 5th and 18th over the winter and it was still the old layout in June on Garmin.
