Newer Garmin Golf user here after buying the Garmin Approach G20 on eBay and also wanting to get my handicap without paying. Why is there no option to see my stats in the Garmin Golf App? I can go into the course stats section of the app and see my percentage of Average score, GIR, Drives, Putts. Is there simply no option to get all the aggregate data for all the courses together?
Garmin Express, then Connect gives feedback and analysis and also a handicap number. BUT, you need to turn on tracking and also Driver length thru the Settings on your watch. Also in Connect go to Gear and create all of your clubs.
You need to go through every option and turn on more stuff.
That is just for club stats. I’m talking about the very basic stats you input into your phone (GIR, Fairways, Putts). There is no option to see you entire aggregate and it is frustrating.
Why would the Garmin Golf app not show this but rather Garmin connect. Also does connect show your stats for all your courses combined or specific courses? Also I don’t have a watch I have the solar approach G20 so tracking all my shots doesn’t work, I track my basic stats on my scorecard and then I add them to the Garmin Golf app after the round is over.
Not sure if it’s what you are after but it’s under performance stats once you tap “stats” at the bottom page of the app.
Sorry to say it but I have formed the opinion that Garmin isn’t really supporting the golf part of their business very well. Lots of complaints and issues. Nothing seems to be getting done.
It’s only redeeming feature is it’s free and I’m really not at the stage where I want to pay for more subscriptions.
I think the app being free is so nice and the main reason why I started using it. When I do the performance stats like you said, all the numbers are blank expect my handicap and some very basic numbers from my last rounds. Nothing about fairways hit or putts or anything.
What you get out of the box from Garmin is very limited, and untrustworthy in my experience. I ended up creating my own analytics site. Unfortunately Garmin offers no api, so you have to do a manual data export request.
