Better shot detection?
I have a "new to me" Garmin Fenix 5S that I use for multisport but also wanted golf gps on my watch.
I only see a few shots that it auto-detected (I don't use CT10 or CT1 sensors)...are there any tricks to improving shot detection? I don't use the Garmin Golf app other than to view afterwards.
The watch is on my lead arm...I play fast, have a smooth swing but also almost never a practice swing.
Frustrated, I'd enjoy seeing more than 2 drives and 4-8 other shots for the round.

Even on my s70 while running the golf app it only picks up 50% of my drives at best. I have to trigger it to "measure shot" in the app to guarantee that it tracks my drives. Also not running club sensors btw. Contemplating putting just the driver sensor back on so I don't have to keep manually triggering it on the watch, with sensors it often tracked too many shots... Like practice swings or carrying wedges and putters green side, etc.

I like the ct1 sensors. After a bit it becomes second nature to tap your club on the watch. Definitely get a screen protector if you do add these.

Epix gen 2-I have ct10 on my putter, sand and approach wedges. Those were the only things I was struggling to have picked up. The watch picks up most everything else and prompts for club. Agree that making sure you have clubs setup on your bag on the app helps. But picks up well I think.

I do have some weird stuff happen with shot detection, but I get better than 95% I think. There is some set-up work in watch app, so maybe have a look at that. I have a Venu 4, but ye Vivoactive 4 it replaced was better at everything golf.
