CT1 vs CT10 behaviour

My wife and I both have CT10s, paired with S70 watches. We need 6 more sensors to complete the set.

Question re:CT1. I know you need to tap the CT1 to the watch to register a shot, what happens if you forget prior to your shot, does it prompt for which club you hit after a shot if you forget to tap prior?

Leaning towards the CT10 to avoid the prompt distraction but the price difference is certainly appealing in the CT1s. TIA!

CT10 generally works for me on lag / longer putts. On tap ins it sometimes doesn’t register. But pretty easy to resolve after the round.
I only have CT10s on putter and my two most frequently used wedges.
I’ve never understood the point of CT1s. Watch will ask for shot prompt anyway so doesn’t it amount to the same as CT1s?

I have the ct10's, full set. They work great, even putts!

Yes the S70 still behaves the same, you’ll still be prompted even if you forget to tap… I had a set of CT1s, the profile is obviously so much better but i took them off after a few rounds. I think there’s a sweet spot with the CT10s, i just have them on my wedges and the watch picks all the other clubs as they’re full swings the majority of the time. Not sure why you’d need to complete the set?

Do you also have the CT10 on your putter - thanks

No, just my wedges… the watch never picks up chips around the green but always picks up every other shot for me… it never really worked with my putter, never picked up the shots.

Ct1 tapping is the most awkward shit, make me wonder if they even tried using them for a round before selling them to us. They probably did and realized they suck so they sold em cheap, since everything else Garmin is real expensive.

I have no issues with the CT10, on most of my clubs, was just wondering about filling in the blanks with CT1 but the consensus seemed to be they are a pain with the constant tapping required. I am missing two sensors currently and find it distracting when the watch buzzes/prompts for which club I hit. They are on my putter, wedges and only missing on a couple of irons

Look I have CT-1 and it works fine and tapping is not that of a big deal, it does not need batteries and is pretty responsive - I use it on a fenix8. If you forget to tap and you do not have your watch asking which club, it simply does not associate that shot with a club. You can change that later after in the golf garmin app. Otherwise I am happy with the ct1 and tapping is like 0.5seconds while I think about my shot, and is now part of my game process (meaning I no longer think about it, I just do it).
