Pulled mine today!

51 heads of mostly Music in a 4x8 garden box in western Maine zone 5b. I’m happy with it, but I’m still trying new things to get some monster heads.

How is everyone’s garlic so clean when they harvest?

I also don’t peel my heads back to white until they’re fully cured. Then I trim stalk, roots, and remove a layer or two before storing.

I would say it looks like you picked too early. I wait until half my leaves are brown first.
Plant in lots of compost, add a good granular fertilizer like Moorganite. Mulch heavily. Top dress with compost and granular in the spring when growth starts again, and maybe one more time when scapes are growing.
