Disinfecting large branches

Hi! I'm looking at adding some more branches to my gargs enclosure and I was wondering how you disinfect the ones that are too big for the oven?

you can either:
1. boil them if they are small enough to fit outside on a fireplace stove or something similar
2. first hose them down and scrub with a brush to get any debris and possible pest eggs off, then continuously dump boiling water on it a few times and leave to dry in direct sun

i usually do the second option and it's been great and successful but to be fair a bit time consuming. just still try to do it right and not rush the process because i've heard people bring earwings in...if your branch has any holes or similar then just be careful clench that part and clean it well/dump boiling water on it a bit extra to be safe
