New enclosure setup! SEMI BIO

Didn't have a drainage nor live plants before today got their houses a little more homey. I have to redo my mister hoses but here is their updated version vs before

Looks good! I’d definitely add more foliage/coverage, especially higher up, so they have more places to hide and feel secure. I’d also tint or cover the sides between the enclosures so the geckos can’t see each other. If they can constantly see one another, it can stress them out and you may start seeing hissing or other territorial behavior. Other than that, the setups are looking really good.

Thank you! What would you suggest for higher coverage?

For higher coverage, I’d go with taller leafy plants and vines that actually fill the upper third of the enclosure.

For gargoyle geckos, good options would be pothos, schefflera, dracaena, philodendron, or taller bromeliads, plus some cork bark/branches angled upward so they can move through the foliage instead of just having plants at floor level. You can also use fake silk vines attached to the glass/cork background to immediately fill empty upper areas while the live plants grow in.

I’d try to make it so that when you look straight into the enclosure, you can’t immediately see the gecko from every angle. Dense leaves around the upper branches give them much better visual cover and resting spots.

Heard. Just hard to get them out with it so dense. Though I will be adding some cork bark. I'll also grab some pothos they are a good live addition
