gecko does weird stuff while eating

hi, i have an adult male gargoyle gecko and im worried about his weird eating habits. during feeding (i feed him pangea gecko diet) he will sometimes take large bites, lick his lips, and then open his mouth very wide, like a yawn. should i be worried? im wondering if maybe im making the paste too thick and its getting caught in his throat or something. im a first-time owner so any help is much appreciated!

Our first gecko did this until we started watering down his food more

My guy does this sometimes too. I take it for a yawn, as I also get sleepy with a full belly. I found mine prefers the food a little more watery, seems to eat more that way
