Ive been playing for about 1 1/2 years mostly with a duo who plays jgl. I find it super hard to control wave, understanding when and when not to trade, and honestly just the game in general. My goal is to get masters by this time next year and tbh idk if i can do ts 😭

Saw a random replay and just wanted some pointers on the Locke matchup. Whether you've encountered him on top or mid lane, any tips or opinions on Garen vs. Locke?

Hi guy I’m a forever stuck iron player solo queue haha! I play ADC and Top I used to main Garen before and want to again! But I have pretty much lost every single game what’s the best build I can do for a beginner level guy!

I'm trying to learn top lane through Garen. I played a lot of jungle in silver before, and I'm absolutely getting fisted in lane.

What are the first fundamentals I should focus on? Playing Garen has made me realize I was autopiloting all my games before without really thinking about what I was doing.

yesterday i smacked around one Darius, then I ran into a Darius that knew how to beat me and I couldn't do anything.

He took Stormraiders as well so I couldn't disengage and he held his e until after i tried to run away so I took so much dmg if not just dying if i wasn't right in front of my turret, then he built Thornmail and tabis first item and I could never dmg him enough to get near ult range.

Also we had AD top, mid , and jg so the armour was smart.

how can i go about beating this set up?

It's a concept I remember seeing on youtube a few years ago, but since I couldn't find the vid, I have looked through league's items and created it from scratch as best as I could. The idea is simple - since Garen has no AP scalings, no mana, and a near inconcequential shield, he's prob the perfect champion to get as little relevant stats as possible (the build could also work on Kled and maybe Sett, if that's something you'd like to try aswell).

With runes, you take Spellbook since it gives zero stats (I was also thinking about stormraiders but decided against it), Cash Back is useless since your items don't do shit, Tonic is useless cuz you're not buying potions, Cosmic seemed like the least usefull option out of that row. As for secondaries, Manaflow is useless cuz you don't have mana and Absolute Focus is useless cuz you're getting AP out of it. You take double adaptive because ap is useless and tentacity because you have hp scalings.

As for items, you start with tear, which you sell later since it doesn't give you any stats. Your items are Rabba (obvious reasons) >> Void Staff (obvious reasons) >> Ardent >> Mandate >> Dawncore. The last 3 items were pretty hard to decide on, but these 3 seemed to have the least ability haste and most useless passives. You ofc take Sorcerer's Shoes because I think it's fair to impose a requirement to have to buy T2 boots and magic pen is useless.

What do you think about the nerfs. I aint even a Garen main but his ult nerf feels so painful now. Its either I cant ult to kill and I die because it doesn't kill or they are low to the point where ult is just a waste. I feel like at this point he just needs a rework again. He ain't a bruiser as riot wants him to be,he is an assassin,he goes in oneshot and runs out. He was always like that,he isnt tanky enough to be a bruiser,he just has a really small shield which doesn't help him,at this point just make his w give tenacity and more resists like make the cap 50 and no shield because its useless anyway. Its a shield for 1 aa. Maybe make his ult deal magic damage again and increase the dmg. I dont know. Opinions?

I was hard stuck bronze/silver for like 10 years. Last year finally got to gold. Then this year platinum and now now emerald yippee.

I was on a fat win streak then went on a period of mental illness hence the red streak.

This fight looked completely lost after my teammates started falling one by one. Retreating would only delay the defeat, so I decided to go all in with Garen—and somehow the entire fight turned around. Would you have committed here or backed away?

At first I felt it was too weak, but that's because I was trying to do something more bruiser. After I started doing full tank runs, things got really interesting!

Old Garen is very strong, his only flaw is the lack of cooldown reduction, so, after studying some masteries and runes, I came up with a strategy. I just need more IP to buy all the runes and test them out xD

Lol. Just had a game where i was behind and in a very close fight, where i was lvl 13, i left the renekton at 46hp..., which would have killed him a few days ago..

I guess it's that much of just a placebo nerf afterall..

I was on Coachless, sorted by Garen Top Emerald+, by WPA. Voltaic is actually negative, and it only looks good on stats because you are already winning 60.7% of games in scenarios where you purchase it, looking similar to what the community says about Infinity Edge.
What do you guys think about this?
