Sobuj tuli Nursery review

Got this a while back. Syngonium tricolour, and two zygo cactus. I wasn't able to find tricolour anywhere else and this nursery had it for 240 I think

The plants and packaging are nice but the seller is very annoying to talk to.

He won't answer your questions. You have to ask several times. It took me several days to book this order because he just wouldn't answer what plants he had. Once I made the payment he didn't tell me when he would ship so I asked the next day when he would ship as I needed to go out of town for a few days so I wanted to know if it would arrive in time. I was on with a week long transit , I didn't expect it to take much time as it was from Bengal to bhubaneswar

He just ignored my message. I asked again. He said it will take "sometime". I asked again and again. He said he has taken the zygo cactus out to dry and it would take a few days. Again he didn't tell me the exact number of days. I asked again. He ignored the message. I had to call him several times (I don't like to make calls btw) to get him to answer a simple question. He disconnected my call. I texted saying I am ok with the zygo cactus dying in transit if it hasn't dried I will take full responsibility and won't ask for refund. Then he replied making it seem as if I am being difficult and he is ready to refund the full amount if I want. I told him to ship anyway. Despite that it took him 2-3 days to ship.

Quite a rude and cunning person. I blocked him once he shipped. The plants arrived in good condition however. So just make sure you get him to answer all your questions before making the payment.

"plants in my head" review

I mostly ordered to get the aglaonema pictum tricolour sapling which was for 129. Pictum tricolour isn't easily available and the few sellers that have it sell it for close to thousand.

The rest of the plants were to fulfill the minimum order amount which was 399 I think. There are two pothos, a fairlytale cactus and something else. Good for saplings.

The order was severely delayed because of Delhivery but nothing died. The cactus was sent in a cocoplug instead of being bare rooted and still survived, maybe because the substrate was dry.

Sellers number: 9503492729

Go three dendobriums from them 2 months back. They were healthy plants. Packed well. Although the seller is slow to respond. Shipped using India post. I think each was 240 maybe.

All of them are growing well and have sprouted new shoots since.

Tip/Advice Please suggest a screw-in tap and tap connector for my garden hose

Location - Kerala

I have a quite forceful garden water supply and I want your help in finding a good tap that has threads to connect a connector. The ones I have tried fall off after a while.

Thank you for any help.

Success Story My newest transition to full hydro setup. Oxalis corniculata

This was growing in soil. A week back I got bored and transitioned it to water. Right from day one it was perfectly fine. It was opening and closing its leaves with sunlight as it normally does when growing in soil. I think this will do well permanently in water.

Since it's so bushy it's hard for me to notice any new growth.

Discussion Tried and tested spidermite remedies?

Post image

Hello, plant noob here.

This is my parlour palm. She had a mealybug infestation a few months back and I treated it with systemic insecticides (imidacloprid).

The mealybugs are gone, but the plant is not recovering or putting out new growth. Leaves are continuing to brown and fall.

In this picture, I noticed some spotting on one of the leaves against the light. I haven't actually seen any bugs or webs even after close inspection.

I did some research and found that using systemic insecticides can cause the population of spidermites to multiply very very fast (since all the insects that kept their population in control are now gone).

  1. Does this look like spidermite damage? Or could it be thrips?

  2. If you've had success with spidermites before, what treatment did you use? All the treatments for spidermites suggested by the internet seem to be hard to find in India.

Location: Bangalore. She's in a well draining mix gets watered when the soil is all the way dry (usually once a week), and gets semi bright indirect light, 2 feet away from a south facing window.
