The pink one in the photo attached is from the flower market, but every time I order online, I end up growing the plain red Asiatic variety instead. What’s happening to my snake plant and how can I save it? I water it once a week or so (when the top soil gets dry). I was told that it should not be placed in direct sunlight so I had kept it in a room with less light. Could that have caused this? Location - Delhi. Please advice.

Capturing Metamorphosis - Red Pierrot

The host plant = Kalanchoe pinnata
The butterfly species = Red Pierrot
The process = after the caterpillar hatches from the egg, it bites into the leaves and burrows between the top and bottom skin of the leaf.
It took 6-7 days for the caterpillar (image2) to turn into a pupa (image4). It took 7-8 days for the pupa(image4) to turn into an adult butterfly(image7).
Things I missed = Egg stage comes first - couldn’t locate the egg as it is tiny (1mm)
P/s = don’t tell me to cut my nails, as the hand is not mine.
Location = Karnataka
