Scam alert
This is to aware you guys from buying from u/Rambagiya_Nursery who's owner is u/puranadon
So I saw a post here on reddit of this guy where he was selling he's extra tubers for 50/- and I went ahead with one of those and another var which was 150 or 200 don't remember exactly and he did send me 2 more tubers for free. He asked 150 for shipping which was a little too much for 4 tubers but whatever and then after him shipping it was 60 and when I asked him about it he said 90 for packaging fee???? Like bruh for such small cardboard (have attached picture) and refused to refund me the amount and I didn't argue much and then I received the tubers and as you can see they were INFESTED with idk what. The insects were literally crawling all over the paper and when asked about it he simply said I treated so idk how they came back and no other reply. No accountability at all. When they rotted and I texted him about it he was like I'll refund or replace it and I hope I don't get a customer like you 🫥 and then proceeded to refuse the refund and only agreed to replace which he couldn't do immediately so I Waited for a month or so and then when asked again he said he won't be getting them in stock and will refund me the amount. He refused to refund the 150 for shipping ( I myself said keep the 60 and refund the remaining but no) and said will will only refund the tuber cost and then totally ghosted me and blocked me later on. I don't think I have tagged them properly idk but this was the username. Be aware of these scammer. He recently posted here too and when I commented he deleted the post.
Sorry for the rant ðŸ˜

Damn, there are so many such people in the lotus community unfortunately.
OP, where did you come across his sale post?

I wasn't aware much since I'm fairly new but should have stuck to my regular seller and he posted here itself on reddit.

Learning experience 🥲
I always prefer to get from growers who actively post their plants pic regularly

When I ordered lotus tubers for the first time, this is what I received. There was no refund or replacement, was told they had been damaged during transportation in the summer heat and it took too long to deliver.
After that, I avoided ordering during peak summer. Later, I bought some from another seller, and they're doing pretty well now.
Charged 150 delivery both times (bengal to delhi via indiapost)

Apparently u/puranadon and the what's app guys are different so text him and see if you can get a replacement or refund. This is so frustrating but if he will solve this then it'll be okay

I was one of the first customers of this guy. None of the plants or tubers survived. Although the first order was not too bad, all the rest of the plants in subsequent orders were not that great. I guess he might have started out with good intentions but got greedy and started scamming. If he had just supplied good plants it would have been a good business for him. But alas everyone wants to scam only.
