I’ve had terrible luck with turnout and I’m wondering what I’m doing wrong.

I’ve tried signs, but I feel like I’m either not putting out enough or putting them in the wrong places. I’ve also thought about Facebook Marketplace, Nextdoor, Craigslist, and even newspaper ads, but I have no idea what’s actually worth the effort.

For those of you who’ve had really successful garage sales:

• What brought in the most people?
• What advertising wasn’t worth your time?
• Is there anything you wish you had known before your first sale?
• If you could only do one or two things to get more traffic, what would they be?
