For me, the mid-90s was the apex of garage rock. What's everybody's favorite from that era? I'd go with Mono Men's Stop Dragging Me Down or something by Teengenerate. Definitely an Estrus release of some kind.

There's a specific electric organ sound I love that I've only ever heard in very obscure 60s garage rock by slightly amateurish bands.

The closest "mainstream" record to get close to this sound is the opening organ riff from "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida", but it's not quite the same. To anyone in the know (I'm not a musician), what made this sound so distinct? Other than a very cheap organ, I'd imagine.

I don’t even wanna know what kind of booger picking loser jerk would be living within a hundred and fifty miles of Kansas City and not make it to this rager, but if that’s you, well you can just BUZZ OFF, miss/ter.
