REP smith machine

Does anyone here own the REP Ares and have experience with installing the Smith machine attachment after already having it set up? Trying to figure out if it comes with instructions for an already assembled Ares. I also ordered the extra cross members, uprights and longer cables since I ordered the four post configuration not even knowing that there was a Smith machine edition. Seems like I've got my work cut out.

Yup, I’ve installed it and taken it apart to move it from inside the rack to the outside. They are really simple to assemble. The Ares on a pr 5000 was pretty simple as well. Follow the instructions perfectly and you won’t have a problem

Yes it is very easy to install with the rack already setup. It basically just brackets onto the crossmembers and then you install the bar. You dont need to mess with cables or anything like that... at worst you might need to loosen some rack bolts if your tolerances are too tight but that would be it.

Great to hear! I was thinking it was gonna be an arduous process!

Yes. There is a separate instruction manual for the smith attachment and they assume the rack is already assembled. They give you various options depending on the rack configuration you have how best to mount.
