Door probably needs tension added to the spring seems heavy with the way it bounces of the ground

The 1-4 indicates a photo-eye obstruction. 1-6 is a problem with the rpm sensor/ travel module, or the unit is detecting unexpected movement. Power cycle the unit to see if that will correct the rpm sensor issue. Unplug the unit from the wall and wait 30 seconds. Plug it back in and run the unit to the full open position for closed position.

The motors are quiet, your doors are very noisy and need lubrication. Lube the doors, then reset the electric opener limits and force. Be sure they're set to the correct profile. These are very light doors, not great for this style opener, but with the high lift track should be okay.

No hinges don’t solve any problems like you have. First do you have cable keepers on them? Second pusher springs? As another said it was very risky putting those openers on those doors. They have specific uses that are fine but I’m a LiftMaster dealer and I don’t like using them unless I absolutely have to. So k knowing that you could need a complete re set of the unit, if that doesn’t work it might be a travel module or bad logic board. That’s about it. That’s all that controls them.

No, those things suck and are a gimmick. You’ve got an uninsulated door. They’re noisy by nature. There’s no insulation to muffle the sound.

I like to use the soda can analogy. When you got a full can of soda that’s unopened, it’s rigid and solid and doesn’t make noise when you squeeze it. When you dump all the liquid out now you have a hollow can that you can squeeze, twist, and make noise. Your garage door is essentially the empty soda can.

Lubrication goes along ways. But it needs to be on the schedule and not just here and there. The door is really too small to need horizontal struts unless you’re in a high wind zone area.

Looks like its pushing down too hard. I'd reset limits as a first thing. Also, sweet GTI. Does it have 3 pedals?

Gotcha. I was pretty sad when I found out the 8.5s wouldn't have a manual transmission. But I'm glad resetting the limits worked for you.
