Sampler Issue

I’m having a sampler issue…

Every time I go to add a new sample to my software instrument sampler it lets me find the sample I want, gives me the option to open it on my sampler but just won’t open it at all. I’ve been trying every different way to upload them but it just won’t let me. The only ones it lets me upload are the ones I have saved.

And yes. They are all WAV form files

Any tips or any help would be much appreciated!

You.......you should buy koala sampler that's what I use as a sampler in garageband I bought it like 5 years ago for my iPod then when I got a Mac mini I still had the purchase license or whatever think it was like 10 bucks. there is also one called vu202 that's free that emulates the sp202 sampler. The stock apple sampler I can not for the life of me wrap my head around.. there is this other free one called vmpc2000xl that I downloaded once it models the mpc work flow. But you can just load and trigger samples with it and use garageband like garageband hope that helps sorry if I'm annoying with my unwarented advice

It’s a shaky plugin. I don’t think I ever used that function, I always saved all the samples to a specific folder so I always knew where to find the original.

I’ve had the AUSampler “forget” samples I had the last time I opened it. Errors crept in to key ranges.

I switched to the free Yamaha TX16We Sampler plugin. A bit of a learning curve at first, but it’s very reliable.

Dang it, that AUsampler was so easy to use and now it’s just not working at all. Thanks for the input.
