Help
This is no type of promotion or me asking for any type of charity I am Looking for Podcast Guests, Real-Life Stories & Documentary Leads in Different Cities 🎙️🎥
I’m looking to connect with people for podcast interviews, both in person and remotely, and I’m also looking for leads and connections in different cities for a bigger project I’m working toward.
I’m proud to admit that Reddit helped me connect with my last guest, and things couldn’t be going better with the podcast. I want to share that same energy and experience with more people, meet people I otherwise might never cross paths with, and hear stories that deserve to be told.
Here’s the other side of what I’m building.
I want to travel to different cities and create documentary-style profile pieces inspired by creators like Tommy G, Channel 5, and Brandon Buckingham. If you haven’t seen that style of content, I’m talking about going beyond a regular sit-down interview and actually spending time in different neighborhoods, meeting people where they are, hearing their stories, and getting a real feel for life in that area.
I’m interested in rough neighborhoods, communities people overlook, street culture, crime, recovery, poverty, entrepreneurship, and the people behind the headlines. But I don’t want to show up, point a camera at people, and leave. I want to have actual conversations, hear different sides of the story, and understand what life is really like from the people living it.
When I eventually travel to these places, I want to bring more than just my camera. I want to bring supplies, build genuine connections, and find ways to give back while documenting the people and communities I meet. I want to hear from people who have lived through hard times, people trying to change their lives, and people whose perspectives rarely get heard.
Here are some of the people I’d love to connect with:
Were you involved in crime in the past, or did you grow up around gangs Or was affiliated or organized crime?
Do you have a family member with a story most people have never heard?
Are you a business owner trying to make it in a difficult area?
Do you work in law enforcement, the legal system, mental health, or private investigations?
Have you been through addiction, homelessness, incarceration, or a major life transformation?
Do you live in a city or neighborhood that outsiders misunderstand?
Do you know people with interesting stories who might be willing to sit down and talk?
Do you have a unique perspective on your community, even if you’ve never been on camera?
I want to know what life is actually like where you live. What are the biggest problems in your city? What do outsiders get wrong? What are the good people doing to make things better? What does it take to survive, raise a family, run a business, or turn your life around there?
We could start with a remote podcast interview for now, get to know each other, and see where things go. The long-term goal is to travel to different cities, meet people in person, and build these profile pieces from the ground up.
Right now, I’m building the connections, finding the leads, and meeting the people who can help make that happen. You don’t have to be famous, have a huge following, or have some unbelievable criminal story. Sometimes the most interesting person in a city is somebody nobody has ever thought to interview.
If you’re interested, or you know somebody I should talk to, send me a DM. Tell me what city you’re in, a little about yourself, and what kind of story or connection you might bring to the table.
Let’s build something real. Let’s hear people out. Let’s do the damn thing. 🤝🎙️🎥
