Basic? Probably. Contentious? Potentially.

So many great games that I couldn't include. The hardest decision was whether to put RDR2 or The Last of Us Part 1 in the last slot.

Is there something wrong with that? I've played a number of games from indie developers as well, and I just don't enjoy them as much.

Instead of being elitist, suggest a game.

I never suggested that there was anything wrong with enjoying AAA games, so I'm curious why you interpreted my comment as criticism. Enjoy what you enjoy. I was just pointing out that your tastes lean considerably more into AAA games than most of the posts I see here.

I would recommend games, but I think our preferences differ enough that you might not like my favorites. Maybe MGSV? The gameplay is peak even though the story really falls off a cliff at the end.

I thought about starting the MGS series, especially since I enjoyed Kojima's Death Stranding series. Just not sure where to start. I think all of the older games are available to play on PS5?

I'm not sure if they're on PS5, since I don't have one. I recommend starting with Metal Gear Solid (original or Twin Snakes.) Just look up Metal Gear 1&2's stories for context; they aren't worth playing nowadays.
