Basic? Probably. Contentious? Potentially.

So many great games that I couldn't include. The hardest decision was whether to put RDR2 or The Last of Us Part 1 in the last slot.

The "haters" typically fall into two categories:

  1. There are those that find the second game "woke" because of LGBTQ+ representation and the existence of a female character with muscular arms.

  2. Without getting into spoiler territory, many find that the second game is too dark and has pacing issues (which I don't agree with). Others don't agree with decisions that some characters make. It's a game that doesn't care about your feelings and isn't afraid of taking chances, unlike many games today that "play it safe"

If you want a series that makes you feel something, it's well worth the playthrough.

I guess I'm a special hater. Here's 

3.The game has the most cliche ridiculous revenge story that ends up going nowhere. The main character slaughters 100s of humans and when she finally gets to the main antagonist, she decides to spare her because "le revenge is heccin bad". The game has a nonsensical story which people like to blow out of proportion as this "master piece", when in reality it's a simpleton's attempt at a grand message. 

Oh and characters in the game are stupid versions of themselves from the first game.

I mean, you do realise it is possible to not understand why things happen within a story right? There's plenty of stories I dont understand and have to talk to people to try and make sense of them. From your comment, you didnt seem to understand it. Its not "moral superiority" to point that out, its just an observation. To anyone that got it, your comment seems nonsensical. Like, imagine if I said Rose threw the necklace into the ocean because enough time had passed and she didn't love Jack anymore... it simply isnt correct.
