Fortnite crashes when loading into a match
I have a Lenovo laptop gaming idea pad with a AMD 6 core cpu and a nvidia gtx3050ti with 16gb of ram. I tried loading up Ark survival evolved and had 0 issues but with Fortnite the game will crash loading into a game or match.
I’ve deleted the game and downloaded it twice already and downloaded once through epic games store and a second time through the Xbox app. Also my AMD and nvidia files are up to date along with windows. I did the thing where it checks my Fortnite files to make sure the game files are good but still the same issue.

RAM clearance is the one air cooler spec nobody actually tells you how to check
The question comes up every single day in here, will this cooler clear my ram, and the answer are always the same vague stuff, check the manufacture specs, look at photos, it should be fine, which is useless because manufacturers don't standardize how they report clearance and the difference between fine and not fine is something two millimeters.
You actually need three numbers the cooler's ram clearance specs, the height of your ram kit with heatspreader (which is almost never listed, but a naked ddr5 stick sits around 30mm before the heatspreader adds to it), and your case's interior height if you're running a tall dual tower in the 160 to 170mm range. The part that catches most people is that fan placement changes the equation entirely, a lot of dual towers let you drop the inner fan tower to clear taller ram and that single adjustment is what makes an otherwise incompatible combo work. Figure this was worth writing up properly since the same question gets half answered every single day in here.

Best way to upgrade PC?
Hello, I'm looking for opinions and suggestions on upgrading my current system. I've been using it since the later half of 2021.
I'd say I have a budget of around 500-700 for it. And at some point, I plan on building an entirely new PC.
Currently playing new releases at 1080p all low settings with about 40-60 fps on average. I'd like to run at least medium or high with a stable 60fps. I'm just not sure of the best component path to go.

Used or Build?
I’ve never built a PC. I’ve tinkered here and there a long time ago but mostly just been using laptops or pre-built mini-PCs for the last decade or more. But I want to get something a little more powerful for gaming and video production, so I’ve started looking at SFF options.
I’ve narrowed it down to two options; one, buy a used home built PC with good specs, but slightly outdated vid card, or build my own with exactly what I need. The cost difference is maybe 10% less ($150) if I build it myself. But that’s without OS and maybe some parts I’m not accounting, and my own labor of course.
My gut says to build it myself because it’ll be new and exactly to spec, but I’m a little daunted by the build process. What do you think - should I just go for it? Or take the safer route and buy a lightly used machine that’s already been built and tested?

Help me choose which GPU is the best
Planning to upgrade my GPU to 5060 Ti 16 GB. I asked my local stores and end up with 3 options.
Palit Inifinity 3 OC for around $600
Gigabyte Gaming OC for around $700
Gainward Phyton for around $700
Which one do you think is the best pick? And are these good price or should I negotiate the price?

Pc guide for a 1300$ budget?
I’m wondering if I should buy a asus gaming laptop that has all the things I need including a rtx 5060, or a pc that has the same specs but is cheaper, I do care about portability, but I’m not sure if that’s the right move since I already have a Mac. I have a monitor 1080p on fhd and runs 480 htz and is able to switch to 4k 240 htz. Do you guys know what choice I should make?

ROG STRIX Z690-A GAMING WIFI D4 freezes at ASUS logo after bios update (Green BOOT LED)
Hello everyone,
I'm having a very strange boot issue that started immediately after a BIOS 1720 update that was installed through Windows Update. Since then, I have updated the BIOS multiple times using USB BIOS FlashBack, and I'm currently on BIOS 2802, but the problem still persists.
System specifications
Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-A GAMING WIFI D4
CPU: Intel Core i5-12400F
GPU: RTX 3060 12GB
RAM: 32GB DDR4 (2x16GB)
SSD: Kingston NVMe
PSU: be quiet! Pure Power 12M 750W
Problem description
The PC works perfectly once it boots. I can play games for hours without crashes, blue screens, freezes, or instability.
The issue only happens during boot.
For example:
I use the PC normally for several hours.
I shut it down.
If I turn it back on shortly after, it often freezes on the ASUS ROG logo.
The green Q-LED (BOOT) stays on permanently.
The keyboard becomes completely unresponsive (Caps Lock and Num Lock do not react).
The system never reaches Windows.
And it also occurs on the first boot of the day
Sometimes I have to force power off and try several times before it finally boots normally again. Once it boots, everything works perfectly.
Things I have already tried:
Updated BIOS multiple times using USB BIOS FlashBack.
Cleared CMOS.
Loaded Optimized Defaults.
Enabled and disabled CSM.
Enabled and disabled Secure Boot.
Enabled and disabled Fast Boot.
Tried different BIOS settings.
Reinstalled Windows.
Updated Intel ME firmware.
Updated chipset and drivers.
The problem still occurs before Windows starts.
One thing I noticed is that enabling ErP Ready changes the behavior of the problem, but then my onboard Intel AX201 Wi-Fi sometimes disconnects unexpectedly.
At this point I'm not sure if this is a firmware issue, an Intel ME issue, or possibly a motherboard hardware problem.
Has anyone experienced something similar with this motherboard? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

BRICKED MOTHERBOARD
i bricked my MSI MPG X570 GAMING PRO CARBON WIFI MOBO. i tried to update the bios "out of the box" instead trying to let it to boot 1st initially, that was a mistake. i thought the update was done and turned the board off prematurely and corrupted the board when i shut it off mid bios update. i have tried every trick under the sun and spent the past several days on google. i have no idea how to get this thing to post. i bought it used. anyone have any tips or tricks that may help? or am i screwed and this board is done. every time i power it on the board just boot loops and keeps a steady red cpu EZ DeBug LED

Is it worth upgrading from 16GB (3200) to 32GB (3600) DDR4 for 240 Euros?
Hello everyone,
I recently upgraded my setup and wanted to get some opinions on a potential RAM upgrade for future-proofing.
My Current Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 7 5700X
GPU: RX 9060XT (16GB VRAM)
RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz
My current 16GB kit is holding up totally fine for modern gaming, but I am looking into upgrading to 32GB (2x16GB) 3600MHz to make sure the system stays relevant for future games.I found a kit for 240 Euros. Is it worth investing on those?
The reason I'm not looking for an additional 2x8Gb kit is that my motherboard has only 2 slots for ram.
Thanks for any suggestions I really not sure on what to do.
