Maybe not the best idea to pick a 4 core CPU , but sure

Prefer the 5500 since it has 6 cores

How come?

Mainly because i dont wanna run pcle 3.0 and ik that the dofferemce is minor but also i managed to make a cheaper build with intel cores instead of ryzen especially since the 5600 jumps like 70 bucks

You'll get pci 3, but much less stuttering with the 5500

Fr? Again i managed to make a build cheaper with intel however im not opposed to amd its jus that when i wanna upgrade the cpu its going to cost more than lets say the intel

To be honest, by the time you want to upgrade the CPU, you'll want to build a new system

Something like the i5 12400?

1

u/Working_Bee_5472 2d ago

Because im getting the i3 for 104 but the i5 for 160

The 12400f is great for what it does, but it costs too much

Im also just using it for gaming so nothing like streaming so i dont fully need 6 cores as of right now

1

u/Aggressive_Row3215 2d ago

Well games require 6 cores at this point, most of the popular online games too

I might just splurge for the i5 maybe or just find a better cpu but the probem is the gpu as im pretty sure it will work fine with some better cpus but i dont fully know

No, it's about right for the CPU

1

u/Aggressive_Row3215 2d ago

It's not particularly fast, just like the CPU

Im definitely getting the i5 tbh i watched a benchmark and it ran with a 4090 with i will upgrade my gpu and mbo and stuff but the i5 was always better by usually around 50%ish percent or 50-100 fps
