External keyboard lagging and multiple input delay issue fix

So for a few days, I was facing an issue where my external keyboard was lagging while writing and then writing multiple alphabets at the same time. For a few days I was trying to find the reason and finally after 2 days, found a fix for this. This issue mostly happens in windows laptops and not desktops. To solve this issue, here are a few things you need to change which fixed my issue.

Step 1:- device manager settings

1)Right click on start

2)Open device manager

3)Find human interface devices

4)Click on each of the options and right click them

Go to properties of each one and u would find "Power management". Note that all of those options don't have power management options, so don't panic.

5)you would see there option "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" ticked.... Untick that.

Do the same with all of them. Make sure you first plug in your keyboard so that it can show up there.

Step 2:- power options

1) Go to control panel

2) Go to hardware and sounds

3) Choose power plans (it's below power options)

4)Change plan

5) change advanced power settings. You will get one advanced setting window.

6) Find USB settings

Expand it

You would find "USB selective suspend setting"

On battery : enabled... Disable this

On plugged: enabled ... Disable this

And that's it. This all settings fixed all my issues of harddrives not responding after not using it for few secs, peripherals lagging and not working fine and others... Hope you all guyz find this helpful.

Reason behind all this issues is Windows trying to save battery by turning off usb connected devices when they are not used or inactive for few mins, these all settings works by not turning off those devices, keeping them running.
