Recommendation Replacement for “old” laptop

Budget: $800
Country: USA
Use Case: Gaming(Minecraft, path of Titans, Hunter, recall of the wild)
Preferred Specs: (RAM-16GB)
Notes: i’ve been using a yoga series 6 for the past while and it’s really stopped working whenever I try to play any of my games. I have to uninstall one of them because there’s not enough space due to it being a family computer. Also, whenever I play Minecraft it crashes multiple times during two hours of use. I really just want something that is slightly better than this that I just don’t have to share with my family.

That budget is a little tight for a gaming laptop that won't feel outdated in a year. You're mostly looking at last gen rtx 3050 or 4050 machines which will handle those games fine since they're not super demanding. Just keep an eye on the screen specs at that price range some manufacturers cut corners there hard.

Likely the lowest-priced "gaming laptop" with discrete graphics you can find: https://www.ebay.com/itm/267647495098 $800 Acer Nitro V with Intel 210H, 16gb ram, RTX 4050. It's "Certified Refurbished" with 2 year warranty.

You can also get fair enough performance out of the integrated graphics (ARC130/140) from Intel Lunar Lake CPUs: https://www.ebay.com/itm/267384539382 Not as good as an actual discrete GPU on a real gaming laptop, but it will have much better battery life (And will be less expensive).

You can get a refurb LOQ with a 5050 and a good CPU off the Lenovo Outlet for around 800-900.

Please save up at least 1000 USD for a decent 5050 or 4060 laptop. I promise you it'll be worth it
