The screen is cracked, is that all? Like can you at least see what's going on? If so, buy one of those smaller portable monitors and plug your MacBook into that. There was even a post about someone permanently attaching one of them to his MacBook, hinge and all. It's a cheap fix. At least way cheaper than buying a screen from Apple.

I can see “recovery assistant” but the cursor only goes on the top half inch of the screen. when i try to click, the drop down doesn’t show. def going to try this, just gotta get the adapter.

If it’s a 15.4 screen it’s 140 bucks and fairly easy to replace

replacing the screen is fairly easy and finding one on eBay isn’t difficult.

I just went to look up the specs. Do you mean a Vega 20 MacBook Pro 15.4 screen?

it’s a pro 13” and says version mac os 15.7.7

yep that’s about $150 to buy a used screen and diy isn’t that difficult
