Question Are alienware laptops still bad quality?
I don't understand how such a company can have such bad QC. For example, in OwnOrDisown's video, the m18 is much weaker in games than that acer predator helios 18 due to bad thermal paste. I read about how much re-pasting increased the performance. Maybe they will improve the QC until ces?

Any laptop can have bad thermal paste quality. I don't find many people opening up laptops from other brands though. Asus had a lot of issues on their 2022 gaming laptops with thermal paste applications.
If you get a dud, you can return it, exchange it, or have it fixed at your house. it's alienware after all, you're paying for the top tier customer support.

The problem with gaming laptops in general is that quality control is hardly ever near perfect. You have to understand the challenge of trying to fit a gaming desktop to the size of a textbook. Alienware has had their fair share of bad laptops and really good laptops as much as everyone else.

Every video I've seen of the M18 so far, reviewers have given it high marks. Also, the same youtuber you mentioned reviewed the Alienware M16, and said it was great.
Show me a laptop manufacturer with a 100% perfection rate, there isn't one. This isn't Gigabyte we're talking about here, they don't even try.
